El Nido Beach Guide 2026: Best Beaches & How to Reach Them

El Nido Beach Guide 2026: Best Beaches & How to Reach Them

El Nido is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the Philippines — and arguably, the world. From the famous white-sand sweep of Nacpan to the secluded coves of the Bacuit Archipelago, the variety is staggering. This complete beach guide covers every major beach in and around El Nido, including how to get there, what to expect, and the best time to visit each one.

Beaches Near El Nido Town

1. El Nido Beach (Town Beach)

Distance from town: 0 km (in town) | Best for: Sunsets, convenience

El Nido’s main town beach runs along the waterfront in front of the main strip. It’s not the cleanest or most picturesque swimming beach, but it’s perfect for watching outrigger boats depart for tours, catching the sunset, and grabbing a cold drink at the beachside bars. Swimming is best at high tide.

2. Corong-Corong Beach

Distance from town: 2 km south | How to get there: Tricycle (₱30–50) or 25-min walk

The best sunset beach near town. A long curving bay with calm water, wooden fishing boats, and glowing orange skies every evening. The northern end has several beach bars and restaurants; the southern end is quieter. Excellent for paddleboarding and kayaking in the morning when the water is glassy.

Many of El Nido’s best guesthouses and boutique hotels are located here — see our accommodation areas guide for details.

Best Day Trip Beaches

3. Nacpan Beach — El Nido’s Best Beach

Distance from town: 17 km north | How to get there: Motorbike (₱500/day), tricycle (₱700–900 return), or shared shuttle (₱200/person)

Nacpan is consistently rated the best beach in El Nido — and with good reason. A 4km stretch of golden sand flanked by palm trees and backed by rolling hills, with crystal-clear turquoise water and virtually no boat traffic. Arrive before 10am to beat the day-trippers.

  • Facilities: A handful of food shacks serve grilled fish, coconut, and cold drinks (₱100–300)
  • Swimming: Safe most of the year; avoid during monsoon swells (Jun–Sep)
  • Twin beach: A short walk over the hill leads to Calitang Beach — equally beautiful and even quieter

4. Las Cabanas Beach

Distance from town: 4 km south | How to get there: Tricycle (₱80–120)

Famous for its zipline across the water to a small offshore island (₱150), Las Cabanas is a lovely beach with good swimming and a lively bar scene at sunset. The southern end is calmer and less crowded. Several beach clubs here serve food and cocktails with views of the karst islands.

5. Duli Beach

Distance from town: 23 km north | How to get there: Motorbike or private tricycle (₱900–1,200 return)

El Nido’s surf beach. A long, exposed arc of sand with consistent waves during the southwest monsoon (Jun–Sep), Duli attracts surfers and travellers seeking a quieter, more local vibe. The surfing season peaks July–August. Even off-season, it’s a beautiful, uncrowded spot for swimming and sunbathing.

6. Marimegmeg Beach (Las Cabanas area)

Distance from town: 5 km south | How to get there: Tricycle (₱80–100)

A quieter alternative to Las Cabanas just down the road. Popular with locals on weekends; relatively empty on weekdays. Good snorkelling off the rocky headland at the north end.

Island Beaches (Reachable by Tour)

Many of El Nido’s most spectacular beaches are only accessible by boat, as stops on the official island hopping tours. Here are the standouts:

7. Hidden Beach (Matinloc Island — Tour C)

Perhaps the most photographed beach in El Nido. A secret white-sand cove enclosed on three sides by 100m limestone cliffs, accessible only through a narrow gap in the rock. Stunning, otherworldly, and worth every effort to reach. Part of Tour C.

8. 7 Commandos Beach (Tour A)

Long white-sand beach used as the lunch stop on Tour A. Crystal-clear shallow water, resident chickens, and fresh grilled fish served tableside. One of the best beach lunches in the Philippines.

9. Helicopter Island Beach (Tour B)

A horseshoe-shaped bay with fine white sand and excellent snorkelling on the east side. Named for the island’s shape when viewed from above. Usually included on Tour B.

10. Entalula Island (Tour C)

Pristine white-sand beach lunch stop with turquoise water and no facilities — just pure nature. Often considered the most beautiful beach stop on any of the four tours.

Beach Tips for El Nido

  • Reef-safe sunscreen is mandatory in El Nido’s marine protected areas — standard sunscreens harm coral
  • Best time for calm water: November–May (dry season); June–October can see rough conditions
  • Plastic-free: El Nido enforces a plastic ban — bring a reusable water bottle and bag
  • Jellyfish: Box jellyfish occasionally appear in certain lagoons and coves — ask locals before swimming in unfamiliar spots
  • Nacpan is best on weekdays — weekends see more day-trippers from town
