El Nido has over 45 islands and islets, each with its own beaches. These are the 10 best — ranked by sand quality, water clarity, accessibility, and overall experience.

Table of Contents
1. Nacpan Beach
El Nido’s longest and most beautiful beach — a 4 km arc of white sand backed by coconut palms. Nacpan is on the mainland, 45 minutes north of El Nido town by tricycle or habal-habal. The northern end (Calitang) is quieter. Best visited early morning before day-trippers arrive. Sunrise here is exceptional.
2. Las Cabanas Beach
The closest good beach to El Nido town (15 minutes by tricycle). Famous for its zipline over the water and spectacular sunset views toward Cadlao Island. A string of beach bars makes this the social hub for sundowners. The sand is coarser than Nacpan but the atmosphere is unmatched at dusk.
3. Hidden Beach (Tour C)
Accessible only through a narrow rock passage at low tide, Hidden Beach lives up to its name. A small crescent of white sand enclosed by towering limestone cliffs. Only reachable on Tour C — arrive early as the passage becomes crowded by mid-morning.
4. Helicopter Island Beach
Named for the island’s helicopter silhouette from the sea, this Tour C stop has one of El Nido’s best snorkelling reefs directly off the beach. The sand strip widens at low tide. Excellent for both beach relaxation and underwater exploration.
5. Seven Commandos Beach
A Tour A stop with a long white sand beach, beach bar, and calm shallow water ideal for swimming. One of the most accessible island beaches — great for families. The name comes from seven fishermen who sheltered here during WWII.
6. Papaya Beach
A quieter alternative to Seven Commandos on the same Tour A route. Less visited, with soft white sand and good snorkelling on the reef at the eastern end. Often skipped by rushed tours — ask your boatman to stop here.
7. Duli Beach
El Nido’s surf beach — a long, exposed stretch north of Nacpan that catches consistent swells from November to February. No facilities beyond a couple of basic surf camps. The most “off-grid” feel of any beach near El Nido town.
8. Matinloc Shrine Beach (Tour C)
A small beach below the hilltop Matinloc Shrine with panoramic views over the Bacuit Archipelago. The climb to the shrine (15 minutes) rewards with one of El Nido’s best viewpoints. The beach itself is calm and clear.
9. Bukal Beach (Tour D)
A secluded beach on Tour D with excellent snorkelling and far fewer visitors than Tour A stops. The reef here is in better condition than many more-visited sites. A highlight of the underrated Tour D route.
10. Corong-Corong Beach
The beach in front of El Nido’s quieter southern neighbourhood. Not a swimming beach (shallow and rocky at low tide) but one of the best sunset-watching spots in the area, with views toward the limestone karsts. Several good restaurants line the shore.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best beach in El Nido?
Nacpan Beach is the best overall beach — longest, most beautiful, and accessible without a boat tour. For island beaches, Hidden Beach (Tour C) and Helicopter Island are the top picks.
Can you swim at El Nido town beach?
The town beach (Corong-Corong) is not ideal for swimming. Head to Las Cabanas (15 min by tricycle) for the nearest good swimming beach to town.
