Day 1: Arrive in El Nido

Fly via AirSwift from Manila (1.5 hours) or take a shared van from Puerto Princesa (5-6 hours). For a 4-day trip, flying saves a full travel day each way – strongly recommended. See our flight guide.

After check-in, walk south to Corong-Corong for limestone karst views and sunset drinks. Have dinner at the El Nido Night Market – choose fresh seafood from the display and have it grilled to order. After dinner, book Tours A and C for the next two days from operators along the main strip.

Day 2: Island Hopping Tour A

Tour A is the most iconic El Nido route. Tours depart 8:30-9:00am and return by 4:00-5:00pm.

Tour A stops:

  • Big Lagoon – Kayak through limestone cliffs into an emerald lagoon. One of the most photographed spots in the Philippines.
  • Small Lagoon – Swim through a narrow passage into a stunning enclosed lagoon. Quieter before 11am.
  • Secret Lagoon – Squeeze through a rock crack to find a hidden circular lagoon with white sand beach.
  • Shimizu Island – Crystal-clear snorkeling with sea turtles. Lunch served on the beach.
  • 7 Commando Beach – Long white sand beach with beach bar for a final afternoon swim.

Pay the PHP 200 environmental fee at the tourism office near the pier before your first tour. Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a dry bag, and water shoes.

Day 3: Island Hopping Tour C

Tour C ventures further from the main bay and is the most scenically varied of El Nido four tours.

Tour C stops:

  • Helicopter Island – Named for its shape from above. Excellent reef snorkeling surrounds the island.
  • Hidden Beach – Accessible by swimming through a narrow channel between cliffs. Completely enclosed.
  • Matinloc Shrine – Hilltop shrine with panoramic views over the surrounding islands.
  • Secret Beach – Swim through an underwater opening to emerge in a hidden cove.
  • Star Beach – A long arc of white sand with shallow turquoise water. Perfect for swimming.

Optional evening: hike Taraw Cliff (45 min, guide required) for panoramic views of El Nido Bay at golden hour.

Day 4: Nacpan Beach and Departure

Nacpan Beach is El Nido finest mainland beach – 4km of golden sand 45 minutes north of town. Arrange transport the night before. Arrive early (8-9am), walk to the northern end for the famous Twin Beaches viewpoint, swim, and enjoy your final morning. Return to town by noon for checkout and airport transfer.
